Customers Give Back

‘Tis the season for giving, and Zenefits’ customers certainly got the memo. From scholarships to donating to the victims of the Northern California wildfires, our customers do some amazing things around the holidays…and around the year. Check out how some of these amazing companies are giving back:

“Every quarter Joule organizes a company-wide volunteering opportunity. We’ve done everything from picking up trash around the office to donating a rooftop solar system to a boys home in our neighborhood. As a certified Benefit Corporation, we take pride in giving back and doing our part to improve our community.” -Savanna VanAusdale, Director of Human Resources at Joule

“We are a non-profit serving homeless cats in our area. We also offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for income qualified individuals. But, even we get too many donations sometimes, or ones that we cannot use. When this happens we reach out to other shelters in our area and offer the items to them.” -Kristi Brooks, Director of Operations at Cat Adoption Team

“TrueWealth employees participated in Financial Planning Association of Georgia’s pro-bono financial planning month.”  -Betsy Pass, Human Capital Manager & Marketing Specialist at ‎TrueWealth

“Our company routinely gives money to a variety of charitable causes. In the US, we have given several partial scholarships at UC Irvine to students with substantial financial need, donated money to elementary schools to buy literacy software and books for disadvantaged children, and given community college scholarships. Around the globe, we’ve supported purchases of computers and electricity infrastructure for schools in Afghanistan, donated to a scholarship fund for Kenyan women, and supported Kenyan orphans with food, clean water, shelter, healthcare, and education. We are happy to support worthy initiatives worldwide! More information can be found on our website.” -Mike Margol, HR & Billing Manager at James Publishing

“We are a not-for-profit and give back daily by providing free books, music, games, and TV. We are also a valuable asset to journalists all over the world with our billions of saved web pages found on the Wayback Machine.” –BZ Petroff, Director of Administration & HR at Internet Archive

“We donate monthly to multiple charities based on how many mortgage loans we close.” -Travis Rotondo, Systems Admin at MLB Residential Lending

“We are working through the local service league in our county to provide gifts to children. Our schools nominate families that would benefit from help from the community for Christmas gifts. We took on a family with a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl and spent time buying presents from socks to their main Santa ask (remote control car and art supplies were the biggest this year). We then wrapped them and took them to their teacher to provide anonymously. GREAT way to provide to our community youth!” -Steve Adams, Chief Innovation Officer at pro•duhk•tiv

“Our team made a donation to the victims of the Northern California wildfires and our company matched these donations made by our team members. With these matching donations, our small team was able to donate $1,951.00 to the wildfire relief effort. I couldn’t be more proud of our team helping others in their time of need. No matter how big or small the company, we should always find ways to get back to the community.” -Matt Ives, People Operations at Lumo Bodytech
