Today marks an exciting day for the 28 million small businesses currently operating in the United States.
Today, Zenefits and tech industry leaders Amazon, Box, Facebook, LegalZoom, Microsoft, and Salesforce have joined forces with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to found the Small Business Technology Coalition.
While we know small businesses and entrepreneurs create two out of every three jobs in America today and generate close to half of U.S. GDP, a gap continues to widen in their use of technology, threatening the competitiveness of small firms in the changing global economy.
That’s why the Small Business Technology Coalition, and Zenefits as a founding member of this coalition, is committed to helping small businesses leverage technology as a core driver of growth and differentiation. This means providing access to the tools and education America’s entrepreneurs need to start great businesses, scale those businesses, and compete in today’s marketplace.
The SBA and its Technology Coalition partners will be convening over the coming months to provide valuable opportunities for America’s entrepreneurs.
Planned events will include knowledge sharing sessions, where Zenefits and other coalition partners will discuss areas of interest to the small business community, host training sessions, provide relevant industry white papers, and showcase small businesses that have had success leveraging technology solutions.
We look forward to sharing more details about upcoming opportunities, and invite the entire small business community to join us in making entrepreneurship easier and more accessible to all. With the right technology, support and resources, we believe small business owners can truly be the lifeblood of the American economy.
