We’re looking for a dynamic and data-driven SEO Manager to join our growing marketing team at Zenefits. This role will be critical to our organic strategy, and be deeply involved in multiple aspects of our marketing and sales process. It’s a big job. The SEO Manager will define and execute our search strategy for driving leaps in organic traffic and leads. Additionally, they’ll work with our content team and performance marketing teams to determine how we reach our small businesses effectively and efficiently.

  • Analyze SERP and organic traffic patterns to determine content creation and website optimization to drive organic traffic
  • Measure and report weekly on traffic and lead growth from organic search
  • Provide insights into the topics that drive interest and engagement from small businesses
  • Work with the web team to optimize our website to drive SERP, organic traffic and best-in-class conversion rates
  • Collaborate with our performance marketing team, SEM agency and SEO partners to influence our paid search performance and our organic growth
  • Track our progress in SEO against key competitors
  • Technical aptitude and knowledge of website structure - HTML, CSS, and markup, and XML
  • Analyze internal and external link profilesl link relationships and expand our link relationships for deeper contextual and semantic understanding of our content

A little more about you:

  • 4+ years experience managing SEO either in-house or at an agency
  • Experience building dashboards and tracking for SEO and organic traffic
  • Proficiency with tools such as Search Console, Ahrefs, Google Analytics, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, BuzzSumo, etc.
  • Experience with tools such as, Marketo, Mode or Heap a plus
  • Know your way around a spreadsheet
  • Strong, clear communicator that likes working with a big team
