As case numbers of COVID-19’s Omicron variant have declined, mask mandates across the country have been lifted. On February 25, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that it’s relaxing mask guidance for areas that don’t have hospitals under high strain.
The CDC advises that those who live in an area considered to be low or medium risk can go maskless indoors. However, the agency still recommends mask wearing in communities where COVID-19 is straining health systems. We strongly encourage business owners to continuously check with local, state, and federal mandates to say within compliance.
