Self Identification of Disability Deadline
Today is the deadline for federal contractors and subcontractors to implement a new disability self-identification form to use when soliciting disability status.
August 7
Fluctuating Workweek Rule
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued a final ruling on May 20 that employers have greater flexibility using the flexible workweek to calculate overtime pay for salaried, non-exempt employees whose hours vary each week. Under this rule, employees who are entitled to overtime pay will receive an additional .5 times their base rate for each hour worked beyond the 40-hour workweek.
