At the backbone of any great company or operation are employees. Here are three ways to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day.
At the backbone of any great company or operation are employees. And that’s why we’re so excited today is Employee Appreciation Day!
If you missed the memo on Employee Appreciation Day, don’t sweat it. There’s still time to do something to show your employees how much you value their work. In fact, at Zenefits, we don’t want to limit the appreciation to just one day – we’re extending it to a month-long celebration.
Need ideas on some things you can do for your employees? We’ve got you covered. Here are some of the events we have planned for our employees this month:
Need we say more?
This is truly an amazing way to give back to your employees, and it doesn’t have to be an hour-long shiatsu massage. You can bring masseurs on-site and gift each employee with a 15-20 minute neck massage that they can schedule in between meetings or during a time that works best for their schedule.
Even though it’s a short amount of time, your employees will welcome the relaxing break and will go back to work rejuvenated.
As we head into Spring, we wanted to kickstart the season in a healthy way by offering juicing classes to our employees. (Yes, we realize this is a trend, but we’re embracing it!)
The class will teach employees how to make their own smoothies and juices, and how to properly peel and cut fruit like pineapples and mangos. In addition to getting sent home with recipes and information to continue this healthy habit, employees will also have a chance to bond with fellow employees!
Meditation Classes & Stress Management Instruction
Let’s be honest: Work can get a little stressful at times. And while some people are great at relieving stress on their own via meditation, yoga, or over dinner with friends – others can bottle it up.
For those employees who may need a little zen in their life, meditation or stress management classes can be extremely valuable for them. However, it’s important to be sensitive about how you offer and approach stress management. Some employees may be embarrassed to sign up, so be thoughtful about the process and privacy of employees.
Regardless of how you decide to celebrate your employees, remember that it doesn’t have to just be on the first Friday of March.
Your employees deserve to be recognized year round, whether it’s simply saying “I appreciate your work” or a party in their honor. Many employees pour their hearts and souls into their work and they should be recognized for it.
