Managing a distributed team (or a company made up primarily of remote employees) is very different from managing a group of employees on-site in the workplace. Communication is the most important factor for keeping a team healthy and productive. Some distributed teams find that having regular meetings using video streaming technology can be helpful to mimic the feeling of working alongside other employees.
